Unusual Flowers from Garden At the Bay
A pink bloom
Flowers have always intrigued me. I’m still enjoying sharing the snapshots of flowers which I took when I was at the Garden At the Bay a few weeks back. In fact on that outing I took close to 200 shots!
It is really amazing to see so many different blooms housed under one roof.
Light pink bloom
I found this light pink bloom above really unusual. The flowers were pointing downwards instead of up and it had lots of tiny buds on a single bloom.
A mixed pink bloom
This was another pink bloom which I spotted that was facing downwards. This particular flower looked more dainty as compared to the previous one as it had stamens sticking out instead of buds.
Bottle brush like flower
This flower reminded me of the baby bottle brush cleaner which I have at home to clean milk bottles. Do you see the resemblance too?
A brush like flower
This is another brush like flower which I spotted. It resembles more like a brush use for mixing oils in cooking.

I absolutely love the downward facing pink flower. It looks like a ballerina up on pointe! I recently went to a botanical garden, they never disappoint. They are a buffet of colors and a feast for the eyes! Thanks for sharing!

Is the top flower a begonia? I recognize the upside down one, that a fuchsia. I have not seen that color combination before. I wish I could grow fuchsias, but the desert is just too hot and dry for them. I hope more flowers are in store for us. I love seeing beautiful and different blossoms.

Oh, those are unique looking flowers but absolutely lovely. Yes, the other one reminds me of a bottle brush, how nice. You really did capture the beauty of nature in those shots. Great job! 🙂

Oh, I love taking photos of flowers. I am sad that I have not been to gardens by the bay. It opened a week after we went to Singapore. 🙁

I sure would like to see more kinds of flowers. That would be a great place to visit. That flower that looks like a baby bottle brush cleaner made me smile.

Fantastic blooms captured beautifully Dominique,
I can also get carried away when photographing flowers. I recognise all of the flowers but for the last one…it’s very unusual.

Hi, Dominique! I don’t think I’ve ever seen these flowers here in Manila. Oh how I would love to visit a pretty garden and spend the afternoon there reading with a cup of tea. 🙂

Beautiful flowers! I really like the last one that resembles an artists paint brush or maybe a makeup brush.

The red bottle brush like flower is indeed belongs to the bottle brush tree. (Callistemon citrinus) Actually, NPark planted some of these trees on the roadsides and some estates too. I found some in my neighbourhood but I had never realised they were there until recently. 🙂
