Flowers have always intrigued me. I’m still enjoying sharing the snapshots of flowers which I took when I was at the Garden At the Bay a few weeks back. In fact on that outing I took close to 200 shots!
It is really amazing to see so many different blooms housed under one roof.
Light pink bloom
I found this light pink bloom above really unusual. The flowers were pointing downwards instead of up and it had lots of tiny buds on a single bloom.
A mixed pink bloom
This was another pink bloom which I spotted that was facing downwards. This particular flower looked more dainty as compared to the previous one as it had stamens sticking out instead of buds.
Bottle brush like flower
This flower reminded me of the baby bottle brush cleaner which I have at home to clean milk bottles. Do you see the resemblance too?
A brush like flower
This is another brush like flower which I spotted. It resembles more like a brush use for mixing oils in cooking.
Flowers are one of my favourite subject for Macro photography. A few weeks back we visited the flower dome and cloud forest at Gardens at the Bay.
A bloom captured by R on my DSLR
There were many unusual flowers which I have not seen before at the Flower Dome. It was really fun capturing all of them on camera.
A pink bloom
There was a variety of single and cluster blooms. I personally find it easier to focus on a single flower then a cluster as it was more difficult to judge which angle will give a better shot with a cluster.
A cluster of fruits hanging from a tree
However this bunch of fruit really caught my attention. Don’t you find it really unique? The covering had split open exposing the fruit but at the same time remained fastened to the stem. Interesting isn’t it.
Do you like Macro Photography too?
