10 Things I learned in 2012
2012 has really whizzed passed so fast. We are already more then halfway through November and heading for December pretty soon. Last week I gave a breakdown of activities which I would be doing with the kids this holiday. I also recounted my top 10 not so distant memories that I had this year.
In this post I will be mentioning the 10 things that I have learned in 2012
- It is important to go with the flow and be adaptable. Sometimes you can plan activities for your kids but they may not appreciate or enjoy what is being scheduled.
- GOD is great. He has opened up new doors for me this year and introduce me to a great bunch of mummies via SMB.
- It is possible to work from home and at the same time juggle the schedules of the kids and household solo.
- Having everything in moderation is the best way to go. To deprive a kid or yourself will only make you yearn more for it and it’s not healthy.
- Having a planner on the go is a great asset for a busy mom. You can look at all the appointments and important information that you need at one glance.
- Sticking to a diet and eating in moderation is SUPER HARD WORK!! I’m only managed to maintain the current weight at 64/65kg and YET to get down to ideal weight.
- Investing in a good camera does do wonders for the type of photos that you can take. I’m learning a lot everyday on how to improve on my photography with my DSLR.
- Being a WAHM is one of the best jobs I had so far and am loving it. It is so much less stressful and more meaningful then a corporate job in the workforce.
- Best things in life comes in little packages. I’ve blessed to have 3 of my own.
- Being positive does help you get through the toughest days and there is certainly light at the end of a dark tunnel.
What have you learned in 2012?

Great list!
I have a lot to be thankful for in 2012 as well… and I totally agree that our SMB bunch is a great source of inspiration!
Thanks for always being there to help, Dom! 🙂

These are great lessons you have learned this year. And it’s equally great to look back and ponder on these. You’re right about sticking to healthy diet…it is HARD WORK. Couple that with what you’ve mentioned about keeping balance and you’re good to go.

This is indeed a great idea. I have yet to gather my memories of what I learned this year. But one thing is for sure, I am thankful to God that He still sustained our family in our place.’
