Cactus in a pot

During our visit to Phuket Botanic Garden there was part of the garden which was filled with various cactuses. The kids were fascinated to see these prickly plants and wanted to know more about them. They were fascinated to learn that there is water stored in the stems of the cactus and many people rely on the cactus as a source of nutrition while in the dessert.

View from the Window

During our road trip in Malaysia we stopped by Port Dickson on the way back and checked into the Avillion Cove Hotel for a night. The view from our hotel room was really spectacular. We were given the top floor of the hotel and I could enjoy the majestic sunset just looking out of the window.
