Red, Pink and White

Red bloom

I have always loved taking pictures of flowers when ever I go to the park.  I can easily snap more then 500 shots each time I visit the botanic gardens or a flower exhibition.  Seeing lovely bright colored flowers always perks up my day.  I love seeing the contrasting colors of the flower petals and how they brighten up the environment.

Flowers are also my favourite subject for macro photography.  You be surprised what you can see when you look up close to the flower under a macro lens. On several occasions I have seen bees on the flowers pollinating it.

White Bloom

This is a rather unique white bloom which I spotted.  It has really unusual tassel like extensions among the petals.

Have you been looking at flowers too?

Creative You: Using Your Personality Type to Thrive

Creative You Cover

Creative You Cover

Creative You: Using Your Personality Type to Thrive by David B Goldstein & Otto Kroeger talks about identifying your personality.  The book is divided in 3 different sections.

The first section gives one a clear idea what is creativity and helps you identify  your personal creative preferences. One also gets to learn about his/her full profile of individual preferences and temperaments.

The second sections lists down  the 16 personality types where one gets to learn their strengths and weaknesses. Blind spots are listed out and tips are given on how to boost creativity.

In the third section  the authors show how you can use your creativity to thrive and for maximum effect.

First of all you will need to analyze and figure out what your personality type is before locating the correct section to read through.

My thoughts

It was interested to read and look at the personality types of my boys in relation to me and how I could help to develop their creativity.

Based on the descriptions here are the classifications which I derived.

Myself- ISTJ

Monkey Boy- ENFJ

Doggie Boy- INFP

Having both introvert and extrovert kid makes it difficult to create a home environment that is conclusive for both boys to develop their creative sides. However the explanations and tips given within the book do help me understand them better and give me an idea on how to guide each one of them.
