Capturing Pink Blooms
Pink blooms
These few weeks I have been investing in buying flowers. This week I invested in smaller blooms. I selected this bunch of pink blooms out of the selection of flowers on display at the supermarket. Pink is one of Tiger girl’s favourite colour and she was thrilled to see the flowers in a vase when she came home from school.
Close up of the bloom
If you are wondering what is on the base it is a drawing done by Tiger girl. I incorporated her art work into the picture by using it as the base for the flower.. Doesn’t it really compliment the shot?
It has been interesting experimenting with different background for the composition of the shot. Maybe next week I should get the boys to come out with interesting background for my shots.
What have you been snapping lately?

Gorgeous! I should go buy some to display in my home. They would sure chase away the winter blues!

Lovely flowers. Just like what I read, you can find flowers for photography in flower shops.
Are you already working on your macro lens?
March 20, 2013 @ 10:05 am
Allan, yes those shots were taken using the macro lens.

wow the flowers are really very pretty! Where do you get them from? I’m always worried flowers don’t last very long in our weather here!

Jiahui, I bought this bunch from Giant during our weekly grocery shopping. Cheap and good. This bunch cost less then $5.

Beautiful pictures! I love photographing flowers. The painting below it contrasts with the colors of the flower, which really makes the flower pop! Very creative! I would love it if you would consider linking up a post to my new monthly link party: http://ngnrdgrl.wordpress.com/2013/03/19/photog-show-and-tell-link-party-1/
