Welcoming the Year of the Snake
Tiger Girl and the God of Fortune
We saw this cute inflated God of Fortune outside a Video shop at the airport and Tiger girl was more then happy to pose in front of it for the camera.Β I am hoping that the God of Fortune does bring us lots of wealth this year of the Snake π

Lovely blooms
I saw these lovely blooms decorating the pillars outside Centerpoint shopping centre over the weekend.Β There is something seriously wrong with my HTC phone camera as you can see that in the picture above the light pale pink flowers were actually a shade of light yellow but appears pink on my screen and capture. Talk about mystifying pictures!!

Spring Flowers
The word “Chun” ( Spring) in flowers and lit up on display at IMM shopping mall. I love how attractive the decoration looked with lanterns adorning the word on the side.
How do you welcome the Year of the Snake in your country?

Some relatives give us tikoy for good luck during this time of the year. This is more of a tradition but then again, I believe that one will have a better life if one perseveres.
Happy Chinese New Year Dominique!

We are not used to celebrate Chinese New Year but since I am working on a company owned by Chinese, we used to receive “Tikoy” or the sticky rice cake from them.

Lovely blooms indeed and your little girl is so cute. Actually, Filipino-Chinese here celebrates the Chinese New Year. Last year it was a holiday but now it wasn’t since it falls on Sunday. I am sure there are big events at the malls just like last year where there’s Dragon dancing.
