Quite an Extraordinary August

August was a real growth month for me. As I previously shared. I have been learning a lot about makeup . Since  joining Mary Kay 6 months ago I’ve expanded my knowledge about the different type of makeup and skincare products.  I’ve learned what is in the market and what is more suitable for my particular skin type and skin tone to enhance myself.

You can say that I am fully embracing the CHANGE – the word that I have chosen as my focus word for 2015.

In order to take care of others one must take care of oneself first.  If you are able to focus on yourself you will be able to focus on helping others too.

To be honest I never saw myself taking an interest in Makeup in the past.  You can say that a person’s changes as they age and are more willing to try things that they may not have considered in the past.

Circumstances and situations change and so do our priorities and financial situation.   It has been liberating to know that it is still possible to earn a decent income doing what I enjoy.

Having a work- family life balance is of utmost importance to me. Being free from the constrains of the corporate world while having enough time to be with the kids and perusing my passions is what I have always wanted since starting my family.

I’m blessed that I’ve been able to do so for the past few years and fortunate to have R support my decision.

Me again :)
Me again 🙂

Paying attention to your skin and taking care of yourself physically is of the utmost importance.  I only started taking very diligent care of how I look this year.

You can say that I’m loving how I look now much more  as compared to how I was last year. I feel more confident and have seen an improvement in my skin quality since I’ve started taking care of myself.

Many people around me have noticed my change and have been telling me that I am looking much better these few days. They too want an improvement in their appearance and it has given me the opportunity to share the beauty of Mary Kay and her products with them.

世界上没有丑女人,只有懒女人(There  is no ugly women only lazy women). This is a Chinese saying which  I do believe in. One has to work hard to achieve one’s goals.

My Goal Poster for 2015-2016

The best way to keep focus is to make your own dream poster which is a visual reminder of what you are striving for.

From the picture above you can see that I’m striving to maintain my work- family life balance  with my main focus on the family and marriage. I’m working to be like Girl generation member in my poster. Good healthy looking skin, a trim figure and healthy hair.

Travelling and seeing other places is one of my passions and I’m fortunate to have been able to travel frequently despite my current schedule.

I’m looking forward to more travelling and even greater growth and chance as we move towards 2016

  1. i envy your skin, dear 😀 you had a great August and you probably you don’t need to say the “September please be good to me” status 😀

  2. I’m lazy when it comes to beauty regimen so I really need to fight my laziness because I don’t want to be ugly. I want to age gracefully. 🙂

  3. Change really is inevitable so we could grow and be better versions of ourselves. I’m sure these positive changes will benefit your children, too.

  4. It’s definitely important to take care of yourself first, otherwise it would be difficult for you to focus on others. Congratulations on having a wonderful August!

  5. Taking care of yourself is giving your life a chance to enjoy it to its fullest. There are many of doing it like physically, psychologically, emotionally, spiritually. Making yourself beautiful is of personal choice, especially of taking care of your lovely, delicate skin. It is not because you want to impress other, but because you want to create an identity, identity of being you.

  6. You have gorgeous skin! 🙂

Well, in August, we finally learned that my daughter needs double knee surgery to correct long term problems that she’s had. It was good to finally know what was wrong and how to proceed, but we’re going to have a long fall with the surgeries.

So, I’ve been trying to prepare and be ready to focus on belong her recover and get her life back! Trying to stay strong for her.

  7. Popping in from Katherine’s Corner. Mary Kay is a wonderful company empowering women to be able to earn extra income to achieve their goals, best of luck to you and your endeavors to self fulfillment!

  8. I had an ordinary but very busy August as well, I have so many pending blog posts/activities, over the past few weeks I have a lot of OT’s a t work daily. But it’s fine, more hours mean more pay. 😀

  9. I’m happy life is treating you well. We learn new things everyday and learning never stops even if you finished school. 🙂

  10. You’re looking great! I have some of those Mary Kay products like foundation, concealer, and lipstick. I even have a Mary Kay blush that I hardly ever use but is always in my bag hehehe. I have to say that Mary Kay products are worth paying for. They may be a little pricey than competition but they last so long because you only need a tiny smudge (like the foundation and concealer) for you to see the awesome effects. Good luck on the business!

  11. “There is no ugly women, only lazy women”…I don’t think that was supposed to make me laugh, but it did. Cheers to learning new things!
