Random Food Pictures on Instagram

I’m been uploading photographs from my phone to the laptop for storage and came across these selections from my recent trip to Taiwan with Tiger girl.

It was great to have  waffles and ice-cream for breakfast.  I love eating waffles and do have a waffle maker at home. Unfortunately I don’t take it out often enough to use.

It was interesting to see that they have a wide selection of items which one can order at a cafe for breakfast. It was certainly easy to make sure that one has a full breakfast with the available choices.

When in Taiwan  you have to taste their local Chinese food.   We went to a restaurant when we were  in Hsinchu and got to savor these lovely delicacies.

The xiao long bao served at this restaurant were not as tasty as those made at Ding Tai Fung. Those  are the best that I have eaten so far. If you are in Taiwan do make it a point to try their  star dish.

What  I can say is that their portions that are served in Taiwan are really huge as compared to those served in Singapore.

Tiger girl and I couldn’t finish the portion of Fried rice that we ordered at  Mr Onion.

I can’t wait to go back to Taipei again. There are many places there that I have yet to visit and foods that I want to taste.

Yummy Foods in Taipei- Instagram Style

During our recent trip to Taiwan  I had the chance to check out some breakfast cafes with Tiger girl. Here is one that we really liked.

Oven Cafe

It was a really cosy place  and I loved how retro the decorations were at the cafe.

This huge teddy bear drew Tiger girl’s attention to the cafe and she happily walked in when she spotted it.

We ordered waffle with ice-cream and toast with strawberry jam for breakfast.   Both were extremely tasty and yummy and not really expensive as breakfast only cost us @ NT$300.

We took the subway to town for some shopping and decided on beef noodles for lunch. The servings were really huge and both of us were full after sharing this bowl .

( I didn’t take note of the restaurant we had our meal as we were starving by then .)

At dinner time I was craving for some steak so we went to the famous Mr Onion Steak restaurant which was located near we were staying.

The food was really very reasonably priced as a  7 course set meal cost only NT$550. There were 18 selections of main course + salad, bread, appetizer, soup, dessert and drink.

I didn’t manage to take pictures of all the different courses as I both of us were happily eating when the food arrived at our table.

Both of us were stuffed from our day of feasting .  It was really great to have a day to ourselves trying the various types of food that Taipei had to offer.
