More Hama Crafting

Ice-cream Sundae

Fancy an ice-cream Sundae?

What would be your favourite flavor?

Tiger girl and I started doing Hama Bead Crafting last month. Since then we have done a couple of new pieces and as you can see her current obsession is on ice-cream.

A Cherry Popsicle.

Tiger girl has been having a cough so I have made her refrained from eating ice-cream. We have been “making” ice-cream though using the beads.

A Ballerina

Besides food related items that we made this ballerina which Tiger girl spotted on Pinterest. My little girl loves pink and insisted that we started creating this particular one after printing out the template.

Pink Horse

My girl really loves Pink. You can see the color here in this horse which we created. I added on the “Cutie mark” to this creation as it was suppose to be a relative to the My Little Pony series of Ponies which we created earlier on.

Rainbow bear and Love -A-Lot Bear

Besides ponies Tiger girl loves bears too. We create Rainbow Bear and Love -A-Lot bear based on the templates we found. I remember back then when I was a child we used to watch the Care Bears on TV and I had a Love- A-Lot soft toy to cuddle.

Holding the Hama craft creations to play with is so much more fun then just seeing them in 2D. We created this mask using disposable chopsticks as the “stick” to support it. Surprisingly the hama beads were quite heavy and we required two sticks instead of one for the handle.

Totoro Keychain

Besides creating Hama crafts with the girl I made this Totoro Keychain above as a Valentine’s Day present for another friend of mine.

Highlights of January 2015

A butterfly on a leaf

January has been really moving at a whirlwind speed for me. The kids are currently back in school as the new school year had just started for all.

The alarm has to be set for 6am on weekdays now as the boys have to wake up and get ready for school which starts at 7.15am. Everyone has to adjust to an early starting hour in the day and thankfully it hasn’t been too difficult for us to make the change.

Even though the day starts earlier for everyone I find that time passes much faster as there are more things to get done within the time frame of the day.

My word for 2015- Change

This year is certainly a year for CHANGE as I embark on an overhaul on all the major areas in my life. I am actively working on the resolutions that I set for 2015 and am determined to get everything on that list cross off come 1st January 2016.

We had a great trip to Penang, Malaysia in December with the extended family. This time around we booked a service apartment as it would mean more space for the kids to run about. It was a great decision as we had 3 bedroom and a large living room with a magnificent view.

We saw a few unusual birds when we were at Penang hill. It was the first time that the kids saw a crowned pigeon which had blood shot eyes. It was certainly a first for all.

We also saw some interesting insects and flowers while taking in the view at the peak.

Hello Kitty Waffles for Breakfast

Ensuring that the kids eat well for breakfast is something which I’m focusing on this year. Sunday is the day where we do not need to wake up early to rush for school or lessons .I have a bit more time to prepare breakfast for the family and we have been having waffles and pancakes so far.

Pinkie Pie and My Melody

The kids have started on a new hobby this year. They are doing Hama Bead Crafting. They have made quite a few designs so far since we started crafting and I love that it keeps them away from electronic gaming devices while enhancing their creativity.
