Recent eats with the kids

Trying out different foods with the kids has always been a enjoyable activity for us. As the kids grow older they are more open to the different tastes available. Their increase in curiosity about the various types of dishes and appreciation for fine cuisine has significantly magnified from the time they were toddlers.

Breakfast waffles at the Hello Kitty Restaurant
Food placement is certainly very important when presenting a meal. Tiger girl was really thrilled when breakfast was served to her at the Hello Kitty restaurant at Terminal 3, Changi Airport.
I had waited 5 months for the hype to die down before bringing her to this theme restaurant for a meal. It was certainly worth the wait as there was no queue and we had a quiet and cozy breakfast that morning.

Salmon, mashed potato and salad
Eating out is really costly here in Singapore so when the kids and I have most of our meals at home. I’m still tweaking the meal composition to ensure that everyone has the right amount of carbs, proteins and other nutrients to remain healthy while switching the meals around. Here was my attempt in introducing purple cabbage to the kids.

Fruit salad
This is one of my all time favourite fruity salad that only takes minutes to put together. It has become one of my staple dishes which I have for lunch.
