Udon and Sushi on a Friday

Salmon Sushi
Regular readers of Dominique’s Desk would know by now about my obsession with Japanese cuisine. I love eating Japanese food and do try to cook Japanese at home when I get the chance. Over the week we had two outing to Japanese restaurants with the kids for lunch. I love raw salmon and we ordered the salmon combination above for everyone to share.

Small bowl of udon
The kids were not really into the sushi we ordered so they opted for a bowl of udon each for lunch instead.
What is your favourite Japanese food?

I would have raw salmon as much as I could afford it! haha. Seriously, you got me craving again. And here I was reading an article about overspending and trying to resolve NOT to eat at expensive restaurants anymore – then i craved for salmon sashimi! That will kill my resolution. hehe 🙂

I live in a province without a single Japanese restaurant (light bulb: business idea!). My exposure to Japanese food is limited. I like tempura and katsudon.

my family and I love Japanese food, too! we almost always order salmon sashimi and little by little the youngest (4yr old) is starting to like it, too. He still prefers his tempura, though. 🙂
