Weekend Reflections: Goals for June and May Review
The exams for the boys are finally over and it’s the holiday season now. One whole month of vacations for them. It won’t be all play and no study but more play with study for the kids. They did pretty well in school with above average marks in most subjects however it doesn’t mean I will be cutting them too much slack as I want them to maintain their current standard and improve on their academic achievements even further.
Achievements for May
- I managed to take some time out to attend a painting class with the other SMB mummies.
- Alexa ranking has remained about the same as it’s hovering around 60,000 mark.
- I’ve added three more sponsors for the month of May with products from Nivea, Drypers and 3M.
- I’ve planned and scheduled in activities for the kids and family for the whole of June. There is something to occupy them almost every day for the next month 🙂
- I’ve manage to 3 out of 5 on my May Bucket List. I haven’t gotten around to using up the Whip cream and finishing up the books that I need to review as the kids were having a cough and I was concentrating more on their studies in May.
Major Fail area
- Weight has gone up to 66kg!! I really dread looking at the scales these few days. Eating too many fattening treats have resulted in this and I seriously need to try to restrain myself better.
- The year end 2012/2013 photobook has yet to be done and I schedule it to be done before June.
- I still have to de-clutter a few parts of the house which I hope to do so by end of June.
Resolutions for 2013
For Myself
- Focus on more healthy eating and exercising. Target weight is getting back to 60kg first.
- Reading up and learning more about how to use my DSLR
- Test out the recipes in the cook books that I have acquired in 2012.
- To brush up on my French and Japanese.
For the blog
- To increase readership even further and break the 15K FB Fan mark.
- Get more sponsors and campaigns.
- To double blog income.
For the kids
- Engage them in more family based activities and teach them more life skills.
- Read scripture together with the kids bi-weekly with follow up activities weekly.
- Pray together before meals and before bed.
- Focus on both academic and physical development for each child.
For the family
- Go on family vacations at least twice a year.
- Spend time outdoors with the kids
- Watch movies or have games night once a month.
For our relationship
- Have a couple night once a month or as often as possible.
- Go on a couple trip without the kids.
- Pray together

Wow…nice list that you have here. Some are doable but requires a lot of time and some are really motivating and inspiring. I hope that you may be able to achieve those this June. Good Luck Sis!

3 out of 5 is a lot done, in my opinion. i love that your blog continues to grow and I hope we’ve become part of that too.
The kids are surely looking forward to all the fun they’re bound to have this vacation. 🙂

I really enjoyed reading this blog.
I was looking at the top of this to see if you provide any services or do you just like to blog?
June 2, 2013 @ 9:05 am
@Dov,
I do provide blogging consultancy services and website maintenance for the sites which I have helped some clients set up. However will not be taking on any new clients this year as I’m max out with all other commitments.

This is a really nice blog. It’s very refreshing to read a blog without feeling pressured to buy something!

This is a great list. Congratulation on your accomplishments and keep working hard to fulfill the ones not yet completed. Besides, it’s all about the journey anyway, not the list. Right?
