Ice cream treats were a plenty last month. October seemed like the “ice- cream treat” month for the kids and me as we went out for a couple of ice-cream treats 🙂
Doggie boy and me
The kids had their one to one Ice-cream treats and enjoyed themselves tremendously.
Tiger girl at her favourite ice-cream place
In fact Tiger girl went on her 2nd Ice-cream treat last week as the boys were away on a playdate.
Quotation on Fate
October was a month of reflecting for me . I had to make some important decisions and was pondering on the meaning of FATE.
Sometimes we expect results and get disappointed when they are not to our expectations. On certain occasions obstacles are placed in our path and it maybe difficult to get around or remove them.
The model in the makeup class
In my bid in continuous learning I attended a Creative Makeup Class and learned how to make fun designs on the face for a costume party. It was interesting to learn that different makeup artists have different styles and preferences.
I’m developing my own makeup style while experimenting with different looks to see what suits me the best.
Our family of 5
October was a month where we manage to bond as a family. R was down for a short vacation and the kids and I had a fun time at the park with him.
Out and about in the park
Even though it was extremely hot in the mid day sun we had lots of fun as the park wasn’t crowded . We were there on a weekday so had the liberty to go all the playground equipment countless times.
Yaki Udon for Dinner
The kids and I spend quite a bit eating out in restaurants and having treats. Now that it’s November I have to try extra hard to get back on my diet so that I’ll be able to reach my ideal weight/size.
The 2nd half of 2015 has certainly been more hectic for me as compared to the 1st. I seem to get more busy as we move closer to December .
Last month was another roller coaster month for me. My normal schedule was badly disrupted by the constant holidays. I’m not kidding!! There were holidays EVERY SINGLE WEEK in September.
The kids were having a blast with their long weekends due to – public holidays, school holidays and haze induced school holidays.
Celebrating Tiger girl’s birthday
September was a month of celebration like August as we celebrated Tiger Girl’s 5th birthday. She is officially no longer a toddler and will be attending formal school in a year plus. Time really whizzed pass super fast.
Tiger girl taking a break from riding her bicycle.
We couldn’t spend as much time as we liked outdoor due to the HAZE and am still suffering from the effects of continuous bad air due to the man made forest fires in Indonesia.
The boys trying out the Junior Explorer Kit
Since we couldn’t be outdoors we did more activities indoors. The boys had a fun time reviewing the Junior Explorer Activity Package which we received. They enjoyed themselves going on an expedition to the Arctic Circle and did both online and hands on activities related to the theme of the month.
Hama bead crafting
This year we decided to make Hama bead coasters as Teacher’s day presents for the kids teachers. It was great to see them engaged in creating unique pieces for their own class teachers.
At the AXA Media Launch
In September I learned more about accident insurance when I went to the launch of AXA’s SmartFamily package. It is always good to be protected in the event of an accident happening. It will certainly be a benefit for us if we do have the 8 services provided by AXA if an accident does occur.
