Statues at Hong Kong Wetland Park

Bird Statues

Bird Statues

While at the entrance of the Hong Kong Wetland Park I came across these interesting statues of storks and other birds. I have always love looking at different statues and these really captured my attention.

Three ducks

The statues looked like they were made out of brass and some looked rather weather beaten due to enduring the various weather conditions over the past years.

Kingfisher

I spotted this kingfisher on a stone bench. There were some mini crabs  on the bench across it. It was a pity that we didn’t manage to spot the real bird or any of these other animals that were portrayed in statues while we were at the park. I guess that it may have been simply too hot and they were in hiding or it wasn’t the right season to spot them.

Doesn’t it look really realistic?

Do you like looking at statues too?

Under the Tent at Chimelong International Circus

Chimelong International Circus

Chimelong International Circus

During our recent trip to Hong Kong/ Guangzhou we went up to Chimelong Paradise in Panyu District, Guangzhou to watch the Chimelong International Circus.

It was the 2nd time that I’ve visited that circus and the first time for Tiger girl.

The stage

The stage

We were watching the night show that day. The arena filled up rather quickly as it was free seating inside the big tent.  We managed to get seats in the area nearest the stage on the sides and had quite a good view of the stage.

The Animal Parade

The Animal Parade

The 1.5 hr long show had animal parades, trapeze acts, clown shows and acrobatics.

I tried to take photos with the Cybershot but they turned out pretty blur as it was quite difficult to focus with the limited zoom. In the end I used my HTC camera phone instead to take some pictures and even short video clips.

Here are two video clips which I took.

Have you been to the circus lately?
