Doggie boy and Monkey boy sharing a glass of chocolate milk

Doggie boy and Monkey boy sharing a glass of chocolate milk

Since the last time I wrote about what the kids have been saying I have been collating all their interesting anecdotes which I’ll be sharing here.

As you know kids are blatantly honest  and they certainly don’t mince their words.  It can be both good and bad depending on how you perceive it.

Most of the time I encourage my kids to be honest even though feelings can be hurt and it may not seem that “socially acceptable” in certain circumstances. However as they are growing up and people are less forgiving of adults as compared to kids I am teaching them how to “read” the situation before giving their opinions.

A facebook status which I wrote a few week's back.

A  Facebook status which I wrote a few weeks back.

My #1 son is very outspoken and very willing to let other’s know his thoughts. I recently shared on my Facebook Page our experience at a trial that we went for an enrichment center.

If you can’t see what was posted here it is again.

Receiving positive affirmation from your child has to be one of the best satisfaction a parent can get. It certainly made my day when Monkey boy said no to an enrichment class as he was certain that I could teach him better then the center’s tutor. ‘My mummy knows how to make lessons interesting and you don’t” after we did a trial.

While we were on board of the plane to Hong Kong last month the stewardess asked him where his parent were as both boys were seated with each other  while the girl and I were seated in the row behind.

Monkey boy said” There  she is.. she’s seating behind us. My mummy is very capable you know. She can take care of all of us alone!!”

Even though the boys can be very endearing they can certainly drive you up the wall at times.

While  asking them to get ready for bed as it was getting late.

” Mummy. I’m doing something very very important okay. You just have to wait” said Doggie boy.

“What’s so important ?” I ask.

“It’s boys stuff okay.. Important!!.. wait!!”  Doggie boy says rather irritably.

Going over to look at what the “important” thing is I was annoyed to see him watching another  MineCraft video on you tube.

” Watching videos are so important is it? I asked him

” Yes!! Very important to me!!” he replied.

That is SOOO important to do as compared to getting ready for bed. Grrr!!! ( Seriously annoyed with this kid.)

” Come on..we have to go” I tell Tiger girl.

“No. I’m not done yet?” she replies

“We will be late!!” I say

” I’m not done yet!! Can’t you see I am admiring the scenery. You wait okay!!” she says looking smug.

* Can faint!!*

What are the darnest things that
your kids have said?

Any memorable moments?

Breathing Easy with Drypers Drypantz

Tiger girl and me

Tiger girl and me

Having an active toddler in the house is both fun and tiring.  They are eager to learn new things and on the go from dusk to dawn.  The only moment that you have time for yourself is when they are fast asleep after exhausting the last ounce of their energy and yours.

By the time Tiger girl winds down for the day I’m already too tired to concentrate on the detective novel which I really hope to finish reading from months ago.  My batteries are running out and I too hit the sack before even finishing two pages of the novel. Reading has to be left for another day- AGAIN!!

Drypers Drypantz

With three active kids I find it increasingly difficult to  find time for myself while juggling the kids and work schedule.  Each time I want to set aside time to focus on my interest I get interrupted by one of the kids who is demanding immediate attention to resolve the problem he/she has on hand.

Sometimes more than one kid needs attending to and it can get really tough trying to  focus and breathe.

Having Tiger girl use diaper pants when we are out has certainly allowed me to breathe easy.

She has been using Drypers Drypantz for over a year now. Since she started running  around I found it easier to let her wear diaper pants than tape diapers.

When a baby starts to crawl and  increases in mobility and it can be a really challenge to tape a diaper down on a wriggling  and flipping baby.  Wearing diaper pants really cuts down on these diaper changing battles which can be easily eliminated.

With Tiger girl wearing diaper pants when we are out I don’t need to hunt high and low for changing rooms in the shopping malls. There is no need to lie her down to change her diaper and it’s easier to change her on the go when we are out.

I can even change her while she is standing up in the ladies and need not wait and queue up for the limited number of changing stations around which more of then then not are not really that clean and hygienic to use.

The NEW  Drypers Drypantz is really soft and comfortable. With a softer outer cover , the cloth-like diaper  fits her snugly without leaving the problem of redness and  discomfort  from pressure marks around the  waist as other diaper pants did.

The  Comfort Fit ™ waistband ensures that she enjoys maximum softness and comfort each time she puts the diaper pants on.

Sofie and Airy the Dryperz Mascots

Airy and Softy  the Dryperz Mascots

This year Drypers has introduced Airy and Softy  the Dryper Drypantz Mascots to the family.

Airy- a colourful little pinwheel that embodies breathability and better air circulation.

Drypers Drypantz’s extra breathable waistband helps reduce pressure formed on the skin at baby’s tummy and waist area, creating a more comfortable fit for baby.

Softy- a fluffy little cloud that embodies softness and comfort.

Just like the unique technology which goes into making Drypers Drypantz’s waistband extra soft, gentle and comfy on baby’s skin.

With both Airy and Softy  your little one will enjoy the softest outer cover with the most breathable waistband when he/she wears Drypers Drypantz.

Parents can “breathe easy ” that their child is getting ultimate comfort while meeting the requirements of a quality diaper.
