Raddish Cake and Chicken Feet
Fried Raddish Cake
Raddish Cake is Monkey boy’s favourite dish whenever we go to a Chinese restaurant for breakfast. It is a dish which he must order if we are having Dim Sum.
Braised Chicken Feet
This is a dish which I wouldn’t eat. I don’t fancy eating feet but it is something that most Cantonese love eating. R & Monkey boy would dig into this while the other kids and me would rather have the more normal Har Gao and Siu Mai instead.
Would you try eating Chicken Feet?

I have eaten many bizarre things but chicken feet and frogs legs I still can’t do. Carrot cake is a big yes though!

Now carrot cake I love, but chicken feet – no! When we were in Shanghai they were served up for breakfast, and all the Chinese loved them. They called them chicken “paws”, by the way!

Chicken feet is my favourite…& the sauce…hmm…

I do eat chicken feet. It is good for those who need collagen.
I love it cooked as adobo. Just add soy sauce, vinegar, pepper, garlic, onion and paprika if you want a bit spicy. Simmer until cooked.

I’ll try anything once, but the carrot cake looks much more appetizing!

Actually, it looks like turnip cake to me…you sure it’s carrot? I love turnip cakes, & I leave the eating of chicken feet to my wife (who once tried “Medicinal Chicken Feet Soup” in a restaurant…God, is SHE ever brave!).

It’s actually white raddish normally known as “carrot cake” or Luo Bo Gao in Cantonese.
