Seafood and Deer Meat on a Friday

Creamy Butter Prawns
During our stopover at Port Dickson we had one of the most delicious seafood dinner on our road trip. We opted for seafood at a seafood restaurant as it was a coastal town which we were at.

Black Pepper Deer Meat
This use to be one of my favourite dishes when I was a kid but I seldom get to eat it now as it is not readily available in Chinese restaurants nowadays in Singapore.

Deep Fried Fish
Fresh fish that is caught from a tank and cooked immediately upon selection. It taste really yummy and the skin was crispy. We are already planning another family trip to Port Dickson for the food and some beach fun. Can’t wait!!
How do you like your seafood?

I have had some deer meat once, last Valentine’s Day at Manila Hotel’s Cafe Ilang Ilang. I found it so savory. How about your tasty experience with it?

The prawns are making my mouth water. The next city is a coastal area, but I miss baked mussels the most. Haven’t eaten that in ages.

Lately, fish has become very attractive to me. Aside from its health benefits, I am magnified to it no matter how the dish is cooked.

Everything here is yummy but that deep fried fish for me is the most appealing.

our main dish last new year was red snapper (maya-maya fish). It was a large fish indeed like more than 5 kilos and we really had a hard time doing the recipe but indeed it was worth it. It’s meat was so delicious…anyway, i like the recipe

I’m so craving for the prawns right now. I don’t get to eat that too often. Ah the deer meat I have not tried yet. How does it taste like?
January 7, 2013 @ 6:57 am
@Aileen,
Deer meat tastes similar to beef but it is much easier on the palette IMO.
