Top 10 List of What Husbands Should Do
I’m loving the topic selected this week for Monday Listicles. Without further ado here is my list.
Top 10 List of What Husbands Should Do
- Greet the wife first instead of the kids when he comes home from work.Β If not for her the kids would have never existed.
- Go to bed at a reasonable time so that you will not be over tired and end up snoring and waking theΒ wife up.
- take me out on a date at least once a month if he is in town.
- take care of ALL the kids for a night so that I’ll be able to have a girls night out.
- be pro-active with all the kids and spend time with each one individually.
- wash the dishes and clean up in the kitchen willingly instead of just leaving them in the sink.
- spend more time with the wife and show that he appreciates her efforts in keeping the house and kids in check.
- grocery shopping with the kids weekly.
- understand that everything I do I have his welfare at heart and I do love him dearly.
- make her super happy by bringing the whole family for a photo shoot this year.

Great list..love #8…all men should have the opportunity to go shopping with all of their children as often as possible π

Love it!!
I think it would also help if the boys have this motto (for the wife only!): Ask, and ye shall be given. π

You’re so blessed to have a hubby that does all the above and I’m pretty sure a lot more too π Thank God for hands on dads who appreciate what we moms go through. A sure sign of a long and blissful marriage too.

Lovely! He already goes to the supermarket weekly… But really wish he would just greet me first when he comes home. Thanks for reminding me to remind him, again! π

#2 Irks me to no end here! my Hubs will stay up to an ungodly hour and then it’s a struggle to get him up in the morning! ERRRH! I’m so over the “i’m not a morning person,” line. I formerly wasn’t a morning person, but I had kids.
Great list and I hope you get your girl’s night soon!

Yes, sometimes the importance of girl’s night is overlooked… but necessary.

@Adeline,
He isn’t doing #4 as yet but giving him an EXTRA BIG HINT as he reads my blog regularly.

Great list π Yes, it’s a little thing but I love how my husband always gives me a quick hug and/or kiss when he gets home before he goes to play with our daughter.

If you can get your husband to grocery shop with the kids, you’ve struck gold!! I don’t even like doing that:)
May 24, 2012 @ 7:47 pm
@Bridget,
Yes it would be like striking the lottery if he could go shopping with all 3 kids and without me.

Oh my god I wish my husband would do almost the half of your points… You must be very lucky if your hubby does all the things you’ve listed above;)

@Sabrine,
I’m looking forward to him doing all on the list.. so far he is managing to do half. Have to work on him taking care of all 3 kids π
