14 Day Challenge with NIVEA Body UV Whitening Serum (SPF25)

Nivea UV Whitening Serum

Nivea UV Whitening Serum

Having fairer skin has always been on my mind.  Being tan and staying in the tropics I have been at the mercy of the scorching sun whenever I need to go out. I get dark easily and it takes a really long time to get fair again.  I’m reaching my mid thirties soon and I have been neglecting my skin since the kids came along.

My arm

My arm

As  you can see I have uneven tone on my arm as it is exposed to the harsh rays of the sun due to having to chauffeur the kids around to the classes and school each day.  The skin looks dull and it also doesn’t feel as smooth as it was when I was in my twenties.

There are many whitening products for the face however there are limited choices for the rest of the body. I was glad to be introduced to  NIVEA Body UV Whitening Serum  which is the first ever body whitening serum with SPF25. Costing only $9.95 a tube it is extremely affordable and easily available at major departmental stores and pharmacies.

This serum offers daily protection to prevent sun damage and skin darkening from the harmful ultraviolet (UV) rays.Enriched with natural Vitamin C from Camu Camu and 95% Pure Vitamin C it is easily absorbed by the skin to repair and restore accumulated sun damaged skin cells, and lighten dull and dark skin.

Using the serum

Using the serum

I decided to take up the  14 day challenge to see if I would get visibly fairer, more radiant and even toned skin. I really would like a more radiant complexion and this was a really good opportunity for me to test out the product from Nivea.

My initial experience

The serum was absorbed easily into my skin and it didn’t feel greasy or sticky upon application.  It has a light fruity fragrance  which wasn’t overpowering.  My skin felt smoother  and softer after application and even after a day out in the sun it didn’t feel sticky and heavy.  I will be sharing with you in a later post once this challenge has been completed 🙂

Starting mid July till mid of August there will be a  instagram campaign on for Nivea where you be able to win a $188 Nivea Hamper weekly.  You just have to upload pictures of sunshots , outdoor activities that you do during the weekend, or your lifestyle when you are out of home  and use  the  Hashtags #NiveaSG #UVWhtSerum #Sunnyfun #Sunshine

June has certainly whizzed by super fast. Today marks the start of the 2nd half of the year and the 3rd school term for the kids. It is back in school after a month long vacation  which saw them visiting many different places both locally and overseas. We went on a family holiday  and on separate holidays.  Tiger girl , R and me went of to Jeju island, Korea while the boys went with their grandparents on a plane, coach, ferry, train adventure to Kuala Lumpur, Perak, Ipoh, Penang and Langkawi in Malaysia.

I’m still sorting out the 1000+ photos that I took in Korea and will be posting them here on blog in the coming weeks. Meanwhile here are my highlights for the month of June.
