Weekend Fun for the Kids

Monkey Boy Playing Snooker

Monkey Boy Playing Snooker

During the weekend we brought the kids to the park as the weather was good.  The boys went cycling and had a round of billiards before playing at the playground.

It is the third or fourth time the boys are playing the game since they have been introduced to it and they are slowly getting the hang of it. I guess that in a few years time we will be able to team up and play a game of 2 vs 2 with them.

Tiger girl is still a little young to join us at the billiard tables but she did had a fun time at the swings in the park.  She now goes for the “big kid” swing and doesn’t want to be put within the bucket swings anymore.  It is really more fun being on a big swing as she can swing higher and further as compared to being on a “baby” swing.

I was on the look out for blooms at the park but didn’t really spotted many. This was one of the rare few I saw on  a tree. I had to really zoom in to capture a close picture of it. Luckily I had my zoom lens with me that day.

Have you brought your kids to the park lately?

The Boys Piano Recital

Over the weekend the boys had their piano recital for 2014.  Last year both of the boys performed at the same venue with Monkey boy doing a solo while Doggie boy did a duet with his teacher. This year was slightly different as both the boys were playing solo pieces.

This year Monkey boy performed the March in A Flat which is one of the exam pieces for his Grade 4 Practical Examinations later on in the year.

Doggie boy on the other hand played the Pumpkin Boogie. This year he was more confident performing and managed to play the whole tune from start to finish error free.

I was really impressed by the boys performance as they executed their pieces with confidence and really played well doing their solos.

Do your kids play the piano too?
