Weekend Reflections: A New Begining

Sunrise

December is a month full of reflections for me.  A year has come to a close and it is time to move on.  2013 is around the corner and it is a time for a new beginning.

It is time to put aside the uncompleted and failed task for 2012 and wipe the slate clean. Starting anew is something that I will be doing. Celebrating the victories that I have had this year and looking forward to making new ones  next year.

Celebrating Life and the gifts given to me by GOD. Cherishing the time I have with the family and making memories with them will be my main focus this month.  Kids are only young once and  I aim to give them the best childhood which they can have by providing them with opportunities to try different activities and experiences. These will help them build up their character and be strong and capable adults in the future.

It has been great that I had the time off this year to really think about what I would like for myself and the family and the directions that we should be taking.  There will be changes in our schedules come 2013 but it will certainly be for the better. It will certainly be more challenging as the boys will be in different sessions and I will have even lesser time to focus on  my work and the house.  There will have to be some adjustments but I’m sure that I will be able to manage with the increased workload and lesser time on hand.

Are you too  looking forward to a new beginning in  2013 ?

Not the Usual Christmas Trees

The Oreo Tree

It’s the month of advent and in a few weeks time it will be Christmas. Many shopping centres and places of attraction have already put up their Christmas decorations. While out with the kids we spotted these innovative Christmas trees. I certainly don’t mind having one of these alternative trees instead of the traditional Christmas tree at home.

This will certainly be a great tree to take down after Christmas or take apart during the Christmas party 🙂 I can  see that it will certainly be a hit with the kids who surely can’t wait to sink their teeth into the tasty chocolate.

A tree for the non-cook. I’m sure collage students would be extremely happy to receive such a Christmas tree. Anytime the students are hungry and needed a quick meal they just need to peel the layers off the tree for a snack.

What would your ideal Christmas Tree be like?
