This evening we will be leaving for our 3D 2N staycation at a local hotel. The kids are hyped as they can’t wait to get into the pool and cool off from the intense heat that we have been having this week.
I’ll be packing in the bubble bath solutions as I’m sure they will enjoy a few dips in the hotel tub. I’m hoping this time around I will be able to have a dip myself if Tiger girl is co-operative and heads to bed early and stays asleep for at least an hour .
1. Do you think cursive writing is overrated? (Schools in Indiana have now voted to take teaching cursive writing out of their curriculum.)
I like the look of cursive writing and I don’t think it is overrated. Many people nowadays write script or just rely on typing on their keyboards. I feel that it will set the practice for good penmanship.
2. Do you still use a pocket calendar or notepad or do you keep your info on your smart phone?
I use a variety- notepad/ smart phone and google calandar. It depends on what item needs to be recorded. For appointments I normally keep note on my Nokia phone.
3. What 3 things would you save if your house was burning down? (family & pets are already safe)
-Important documents like wedding cert, degrees, passport etc
– My laptop
– My camera
4. Country Mouse or City Mouse, err Person?
I think that I’ll be able to fit in both country or city but I think I am a more city person then country.
5. If you could pick ANY reality show to go on, which would you pick?
I’m thinking more onto the lines of Top Chef or Hell’s Kitchen type of reality show.. it will give me a chance to hone my cooking/baking skills.
My questions this week
How do you increase revenue to your blog? Any recommendations on platforms for international bloggers?

Happy Vacation!
I pretty much quit dreaming about Google adsense and all the ads proposals. Those things doesn’t work for me. International platform is not something I am familiar with, not yet anyways. 🙂

adsense! its not that adsense itself is not a money maker–its how you use it. this blog post shows you how to use to generate some revenue: http://simplystacie.net/2011/05/how-to-increase-your-adsense-earnings/
i used her advice and i’m up to $8 adsense earnings in July (its only the 8th today).
hope your family enjoys the staycation!

Anna,
That’s great news.. My adsense is still a dismissal $2-$3 a mth. I recently stumbled on simplystacie and will try to read and implement the tips she suggests.

Well I don’t have any revenue and well I guess I’m just not a big blogger as yet in regards to it being a business.
I only know about adsense and other pay to share programs where they pay you to put links on your blog and etc.
Visit blogelina and I’m sure she has some great information on the subject.

I don’t get any revenue from my blog. I’m happy enough if I get free products to review!
July 10, 2011 @ 1:47 am
My revenue comes mostly from direct contact from companies to run ads or sponsored posts.

@Kailani,
That’s great.. I’m been looking for more ads and sponsored posts but opps are very few outside of USA.

@Beth,
I too want my kids to write.. so I’m not really particular if they write script or cursive. BTW we don’t have such a rule about writing cursive here in Singapore. We do have penmanship for 1st yr students
