Weekend Relflections: Can you hold my hand?

Tiger girl holding R’s hand
Once in a while you need someone to lean on. A helping hand to give you support. Someone who you can rely on and place your trust in. Someone whose physical appearance gives you the assurance that you need. Your pillar of support, your source of encouragement.
Someone that grips you tight when they sense that you may fall. The hand that steadies you when you waver and gives you the warm and comfort that you need.
You feel all warm and fuzzy whenever you hold the hand and wish to be able to have that hand there for you whenever you need it. You know that it will be there for you and that you can always count on it. It gives you a sense of stability and makes you confident that you will be able to achieve whatever you set out to do. Doesn’t it feel great to have someone who can hold your hand?

She looks so happy to be holding daddy’s hand! My little one is 15 months now and she’s doing the exact thing her sister did at this age – walk confidently without me, and when she gets to a step, stick her hand out and wait for me to hold it. I love how she trusts that my hand will be able to help her, and that mama will always be around

It’s so heart-warming when our children look to us moms as their support and the steady hands to hold on to. 🙂

Lending a helping hand is always a positive gesture, and should be given not just to people who ask for it , but for people who doesnt ask at all.

My youngest is a clingy one. Whenever we go out somewhere, she always want me to hold her hands. While my eldest is a papa’s girl 🙂

It is definitely great to know that we always have a hand waiting for us when we need it. For me though, I think i need to regain some of my independence – not that I’m blaming anyone but myself. But I think that part of the reason why my activities are restricted and I’ve gained so much weight is i rely so much on other people and don’t like doing things on my own – even when I could.
