Monkey Boy Cooking on a Friday
This week has been an extremely busy week for me. The kids are on holidays due to PSLE marking. The exams are next week for Monkey boy. In between doing revision with him I’ve got him to help out in the kitchen. I feel that now at 8 yrs old he is old enough to learn how to make his own meals. Here is his first attempt at cooking lunch for himself.
Monkey boy peeling and chopping up the carrots
His lunch Soba noodles and boiled carrots
Are your kids learning how to cook too?

My 4 years old has cooking class every alternate weeks, he has made cookies twice but I never got to take a pic let alone eat them. Once he showed me the cookies soon ended up in his tummy π That carrot looks so fresh!

As the mother of four girls I get lots of help in the kitchen and sometimes forget the I need to get my son in there too. I’m impressed with how healthy his lunch is π

That looks similar to the sort of thing my son eats for lunch π He likes to help me in the kitchen too, we’ve been working on it since he grew tall enough to reach the counter with a step stool. He’s 5 and his favourite at the moment is to make omelet, but I have to be careful, if I turn around for just a moment he’ll eat all of the tomatoes before they make it into the pan!
Thanks for linking up with the Nurture Photography Challenge!
