The 60 playful recipes and 20 color photos encompasses Janet’s experience as a mother of three boys. She shares with the readers funny stories about her personal parenting experience. Dealing with temper tantrums, bad days and meltdowns. She Janet tosses in tasty concoctions with her brand of humor as she she relates the different stages of her life as a mother.
With recipes like Muffintopmommy Mudslide, Banana Baby Brain and Separation Sour it really got me interested in reading what went behind the choosing of such witty names for the cocktails.
My thoughts
In Mommy Mixology Janet not only gives a realistic view of how motherhood is with all the ups and down. She goes one step further by providing a tasty “remedy” for each situation which you may find yourself in. It is really rare to read a book with bite size solutions to situations which we may find ourselves in as a mother with growing kids.
This book makes an excellent coffee table book and gift for any mother or mother to be. With its zany humor paired with tasty drinks which can be easily put together in a jiffy the mix is an instant hit with me. I could really do with a drink or two to remain sane having faced similar situations myself as a mom of three.
I strongly recommend that you pick up a copy as it will certainly make a good gift for a dear friend.

I find such books helpful and giving books to friends or relatives has always been my way of presenting them with gifts. I usually choose self-help books that will make them wiser individuals. This is also something that can be used or read over and over again 🙂
