10 Pictures taken at Swim Class

Doggie boy and Tiger girl
Since the start of January Tiger girl has been going for Swimming classes weekly with the boys. She has always been interested in swimming and was really excited to finally start classes. No longer has she to wait around while her brothers are having their swim class. She can participate in class now that she is turning four.

Tiger girl giving a Peace sign
Tiger girl was initially rather apprehensive about being in the class by herself. Even though she knew that I was waiting around watching her she wanted me beside her when the lesson was on.

She didn’t really want to follow what the swimming instructor was teaching and join the group. It took a lot of coaxing on my part to get her to try and take part in the activities.

Tiger girl picking up the toys
I guess she was quite selective in the activities that she wanted to participate. Tiger girl readily joined in this activity of picking up the toys from the pool with the other classmates.

Holding the hoops
She enjoyed herself picking up the hoops that were scattered all around the pool. I guess all kids love playing games in the water.

Picking up toys with her classmate.
It was fun watching how the kids hurried around to pick up the toys. Most of them were very comfortable with the water and weren’t scared to lower their body and head into the water to pick things up.

Tiger girl’s swim class is relatively small with about 4-5 kids to an instructor. Pouring water on her head is something which she likes to do and this was one of the activities that she participated in.

Learning to blow bubbles
One of the activities that they had in the 45 minute class was blowing bubbles. Tiger girl was reluctant to do so and had to be coaxed by letting her hold on to the purple ring while doing so. (Purple is one of her favourite colors)

After the swim
The 45 minute class flew by very fast and before she knew it the lesson was over. Tiger girl is eagerly looking forward to her weekend swimming class now after experiencing her first swimming lesson.
Do your kids love swimming too?

This is one thing I really want to learn. But I guess I’m too old to learn swimming. Besides it would be expensive to go to swimming lessons here. 🙁

Ah swim class… that brings back memories. Mostly of having to wait in tropical heat. I’m happy to say my kids can all swim and I’m finished with swim class.

My children are older now. They were on the swim team and love competing while growing up. Now their children are all water lovers.

Very cute pictures. My son loves to swim, I wish we had more time to do so but once he hit fourth grade the homework load and music practice wtih kickboxing have taken up every single moment. We are swamped.

My eldest was goofing around with his Dad at a garden fountain when he was about 4 or 5, and toppled over into the water. It wasn’t deep or anything but it spooked him. For a while, he wouldn’t even let us carry him in the water. Then he would, but would hold his feet up so they wouldn’t touch. Now he could care less and has as much fun in the water as his siblings.
Those are some great pictures, Dominique! Looks like so much fun!

My youngest loves to swim in the bathtub so I can’t wait to take him to the pool this summer. Swimming is fun and a great form of exercise for kids.
