Writer’s Workshop: Oh..Not Done Yet
Every month I start off setting my goals for the month and do a recap of what I have been doing with a Highlight of the previous month. For the month of July and August I have set many tasks which I wish to get completed which unfortunately didn’t get done. Like the bee on the flower above it has been an extremely busy month and things will only get more crazy around here as the kids will be having their exams soon.
1. I have yet to start an exercise routine which really works for me.
Even though I do know that it is important to have regular exercise the only exercise that I am having so far is Zumba every Monday when R is in town and climbing up the stairs to our apartment. Now that the Wii has been repaired I will be resuming Wii-Active twice/thrice weekly.
2. There are still many outstanding book reviews to be completed.
Even though I have been telling myself not to accept any new books to review since I haven’t completed those on hand but those offers which have been coming via e-mail this month have been too irresistible. The topics of the books on offer happen to be on the topics which I am currently researching on.
3. I have yet to complete the faith formation syllabus for the kids
Even though I had decided to start formally introducing the kids to our faith there are still many issues and aspects of it which I have yet to discuss with R. I hope to have all the issues ironed out by the end of this year so we will definitely be able to execute our plan come 2014.
What is on your list which is not done yet?

I love the way you set goals for the month and highlight what you have accomplished thus far. It must be very motivating! I could use some of that. 🙂

Your goal system sounds amazing, and you’re so right, how could you ever turn down an opportunity for a book? Dropping in from Mama Kat’s.

Good luck with completing your goals. I tried breaking mine down into smaller ones to be able to achieve the big ones… in theory, great. But with how lazy I am? Not so much.

Hmmm. . . There are always million things on my list, but write now I am focusing on the upcoming release of my debut novel. So, yeah, there’s that. That is consuming my time, plus I have this quilt I wanted to work on this summer that hasn’t been started. I could go on and on . . . Good luck on your reviews. I have a few of my own I need to get to.

Our garage needs to be cleaned out! It has been too hot to work outside very long and the garage is like a blasted furnace! I have a stack of books to read and usually wait for the cooler weather to settle in. ALso I need to reorganize our bedroom. I am waiting for my new shower curtain set to arrive with matching accessories so I can get ready for the cooler weather! Have a good weekend and thanks for sharing!

I have always found that I am so much more organized if I make a list every day of what I need to accomplish…
I get overwhelmed if I make the list out for the entire month…
And today everything on my list is done… Hooray!
Thanks for linking to the letter “O”!
Outstanding job!
A+
