Being Together on a Monday
During the recent March school holidays we took the kids up to Desaru, Malaysia for a short holiday. It was a shorter road trip as compared to the week long road trip that we went on last December. This was the first time that the kids went on a holiday with both sets of grandparents. FIL/MIL flew down from Hong Kong so that they could spend time with the grand kids.
We visited a couple of places together in Singapore before the road trip and Botanic Gardens was one of the stops for photo taking. I was trying out the manual mode on my DSLR and am slowly learning how to use it properly.
I’m sure the kids and the grandparents really enjoyed themselves. The kids loved all the attention that they had showered on them by their grandparents and being doted on. R and I enjoyed the little moments that we had kid free while on vacation. It really gave us some breathing space as we need not be “pestered” by them 24/7.

I love travelling with the kids. Although it is quite tiring, it is very educational. I remember my kids’ looks when they were toddlers and saw farms with cows and goats while on the road. Priceless 🙂

I think kids are very blessed when they have the love and time from their grandparents. Thanks for sharing.

It can be fun but tiring too to travel with the extended family.
Am giving it another go this coming May. *fingers crossed*

Some great photos – you look like you had a good time. I was reminded of family visits to the coast when I was a child. Happy days.

I love your photos! I use to take all my nieces and nephrews on adventures to give their parents a weekend break once a year! I found myself reflecting on those adventures with a smile as I read your post!

You have a beautiful family!
I’m glad you got to travel and enjoy nature and life and the kids get to be with both sets of grandparents.
I do not mind traveling with extended family at all. I am adaptable and it’s so rare that it’s a blessing just to be able to be around them.
Thanks for rocking with us.
Enjoy your week!

That must have been a rare opportunity to have both sides together on a trip. How wonderful 🙂 I never had the chance to travel with extended family, or maybe haven’t had the chance I should say. We did use to go on yearly outings but usually just day trips or overnight trips to somewhere not too far – an hour or two drive away…

Hey Girlfriend: Some of the best times were traveling with my Mom with. My Dad never really tagged along anywhere unless picnics count. What a beautiful family you have though that’s for sure, and I’m sure they get spoiled too by the grandparents right? hehehe I’ll tell you that video is really kind of different isn’t it. LOL And that ending hahahahahahaha Great one my friend!!!
