Squid Ink Dumplings and Burger
Squid Ink Dumpling
We have been having a lot of Dim Sum during this Chinese New Year period. At the one of the places that we visited I had the chance to taste a squid ink dumpling at the Yum Cha restaurant in Chinatown. It tasted like a regular steamed dumpling just that the skin was black.

Salmon Burger
If steam dumplings are not to your fancy how about a tasty Squid Ink Salmon burger? It makes a light lunch snack and you can get it from Tiong Bahru Bakery at Raffles City Basement.

Wow, thanks for this post. Looks interesting. The squid dumplings caught my fancy but I think the salmon burger is somewhat more delish. I wonder how both taste like. Makes me hungry! Wehe! 🙂

Wonder if there is any benefit eating the ink? Saw cuttlefish ink pasta in Ma Maison but didn’t try

I wouldn’t mind eating the squid ink dumplings, pero the burger looks really unusual. How does it taste like, Dominique?

It taste like a normal burger. I only notice the smoked salmon taste for it.

Does it taste nice? Or rather does the ink has any taste? The look is quite intriguing though I may not have the courage to eat it.

I doubt the ink has any taste just a coloring for the food.

the squid ink salmon burger looks strange! LOL
i’m a bit confused–the bread on this burger was flavored with squid ink?

@Luna,

Very interesting! The only squid ink I’ve tasted would only be adobong pusit and bihon negra yum yum!
