Cheesecake and Chicken Salad on a Friday
Cheesecake from Coffee Bean
Last week I managed to play with my macro lens while I was out with my friend for lunch. I’ve invested in the lens as I’m learning how to take better food photography and portraits of the kids. Having visually appealing photos do make one’s blog post stand out and I do hope that my food captures will be mouthwatering for my readers.
The cheesecake tasted heavenly as it had two flavours, raspberry and New York Cheese. I also loved the white chocolate shavings that were on top of the slice.
Chicken Salad
Here is a salad that I had last week. Pan fried chicken with salad is a one dish meal that I have for lunch. I’ve been trying to eat more healthy during the weekends and have started to incorporate salads and smaller meal portions into my daily servings.

Yum! Great shots with the macro lens, Dominique! BTW, you live in Singapore right? Any resto recommendations at Changi Airport? (preferably with good and cheap Chili Crab) Hubby and I will be on a short transit again soon. 🙂

We have chicken salad a lot too – but instead of pan-frying it, I bake chicken breasts wrapped in paper and foil in the oven – they’re so tender and juicy.
Love the photos!
Thanks for sharing,

I agree “visually appealing photos” really do make a post stand out. Good decision on investing on a macro lens! Your food shots are captivating and really vivid — delicious!
Oohh speaking of food — can’t get enough of Calea’s (a local cakeshop here in our city) chocolate mudpie! 🙂
