Bags and Cheesecake on a Friday
Tiger girl just entered school and to get her ready we went shopping for a school bag for her. I initially wanted to get her a Pororo school bag as it is her favourite cartoon character. However after browsing online and looking at the sizes of the Pororo school bag I found them unsuitable for her needs.
The next favourite character of hers is Hello Kitty. There are plentiful Hello Kitty bags on sale in the department store but I didn’t settle for any as they were a bit too pricey for my liking. I saw a really nice Hello Kitty bag in purple but at $90 it is not something which I would invest in for her at her age.
In the end we decided on this pink pokka dot bag for her. Tiger girl chose it from the shelves herself and is happy to carry her own school bag. I decided to buy new school bags for the boys too since we were buying a school bag for the girl. I was sure that they too will be delighted to have a new school bag each in their favourite colours.
After all the shopping the kids were looking forward to having some cake. Instead of eating out I decided to bake a cheesecake instead. Monkey boy loves chocolate while Doggie boy would prefer a plain cheesecake. To please both boys I decided to bake a chocolate swirl cheesecake instead. The best of both in a cake.

I’m jealous. you know how to bake a cheesecake. It is something I am not ready to try because cream cheese is too expensive to experiment on. π

The cheesecake looks yummy! I do hope I’ll learn how to make one someday. For now, I’m settling for oven toaster cake mixes. π

Ahh the school shopping.
I am glad it’s over for us…
My son went back to school today. It’s Friday, so it will be weird. To me, it feels like Monday.
My daughter will go on the 20th. I hope she’ll like her bag. Glad Tiger girl loves her bag.
And I know at least one boy who will be eating the middle of the cake π Way to go mama!
