SOC: Easter and Dealing with Anxiety
A few things have been causing me anxiety this week. It is not a good feeling and I hope that it doesn’t visit me that often. I don’t like playing the bad cop or have to be blunt to people who try to take advantage of me. I had some unpleasant encounters last week with some bloggers while doing my first co-ordinated giveaway. It was a learning experience and it is just not worth being nice to some who don’t appreciate your effort. I am not calling out on the persons but have learned that it is not necessary to please everyone and sometimes people just don’t click and it’s best to part ways instead of lingering around with friction all over. It’s my event and my rules and if there are any questions and things which are unclear about they should be voiced out before the event starts not when it was past the agreed on schedule. Anyway I treat it as a good lesson learned and move on. It’s no point being anxious to please everyone and inconvenience myself as a result of it.

I understand your anxiety, I would be terrified! Thanks for sharing, I hope you feel a little better, like you said: “you can’t please everyone”. Happy Easter, I hope your children feel better soon.

Hope you and your family feel better soon. Sorry to hear that someone had issues with your giveaway. I’m still trying to figure out what I’m doing, just blundering and muddling for now. A friend, Andrew Handley, suggested that I start putting things into e-book form, which I will finally have time to do now that my brick-and-mortar job is winding down.

@Jack,
Thanks for dropping by. Regarding e-book it can be a hit or miss thing. Best is to have more variations like videos or audios besides e-books so that you can sell a more complete package. IMO.

I’m sorry you had to experience this. But like you said, you can’t really please everybody. And what’s good about this experience is that you get to know more about bloggers and learned who to stick with and who to let go. I totally believe in what you said: “sometimes people just don’t click and it’s best to part ways instead of lingering around with friction all over”

Nope, you certainly can’t please everyone. Most of the time, you can please the really important people, starting with yourself.

It is easy to get your feelings stepped on while trying to do something nice for others. Try not to dwell on it. There is no rule that says you have to like (or be liked) by everyone. Stand your ground you will attract people to you, chase others down for approbation and you will never be one place long enough for those who are drawn to you to find you.
Hope you kids are feeling better soon,
Happy Easter! Because He is Risen, we have hope!

Gosh, hope your kids recovery quickly. My younger one was down with a bad cough for weeks.
In this world, there are pleasant and unpleasant people. We are drived to do something which we don’t wish to do because of the unplesant people. It’s over. Hope this week is a better week for you.

@Shook,
I hope they fully recover soon. They have been coughing off and on for months. Just brought them to the doc again last week. I hope this week will be a better week too!! 🙂

Stay strong. We will never see eye to eye with everyone…agree to disagree, people. Have a good week ahead.

@Gina,
I wish you a good week too. Yup… not everyone will agree with one another.
