My Questions this week
1) How do you back up your blog?
2) Do you print out important memories in hard copy?

I love those wood carvings!
I back up my blog on an external hard drive.
It is rare that I print out anything, I would rather keep it in digital format.

@Squirrel Queen,
Thanks for replying to my questions. I haven’t really started backing up my blog on an external hard drive as yet. I should do it soon.

The carvings are just phenomenal, the bench is wonderful.

I haven’t backed up my blog, do yow know how? Would be a great subject for a blog post. I am writing another sort of blog keep sake post soon. Perhaps that will be the way to go? For now, I really would like just a simple click and save kind of application. I do back up my entire computer and drives. Not often enough.

I do know how to back up the blog and shift it from one server to another etc there are a few wordpress plugins which can backup your database..however this feature doesn’t back up tables/pictures though.. I just export all the posts with pictures/tables/pages directly to my harddrive and also subscribe to my own blog.

Like your new header, did I tell you that already?
November 12, 2011 @ 9:03 am
Yes you did..thanks for telling me you like my header again 😛

Lots of fascinating shapes and captures for brown! So fun to see the world through other people’s eyes!
I’ve never backed up my blog…I’m not sure how to go about it. We do have double back-ups of all my pictures, though.
November 12, 2011 @ 9:03 am
There are couple of ways to back up your blog but the easiest way for me is to export all the posts and save it on hard disk.. that way if there is any crash it can be restored straight away with pictures and all.

Love your photos.
I back up by saving to my computer. Sadly I can’t get into my blogger dashboard right now.
I rarely print anything out.
I keep a diary for the kids here at home.
Aloha.

@JamericanSpice,
Hope that you can access your blogger dashboard soon. I have switched to wordpress and find it much more user friendly then blogger.
November 12, 2011 @ 3:47 pm
I got to access it tonight. I went without it all evening yesterday and all day . Oy. I’ve saved it and will be researching on moving.
Did you do the wordpress .org or wordpress . com?
November 12, 2011 @ 5:42 pm
I did the wordpress.org.. by clicking on the 1 click wordpress installation via the cpanel in my hosting..then tranferring over from blogger after I had backed it up. There is a possibility of wordpress.com closing access to your blog if they feel that you are violating their “rules” so my blog is self hosted on my chosen hosting company. If you need help just let me know.

November 12, 2011 @ 8:37 am
I back up my blog a couple of times a month on an external drive. I haven’t printed anything out in hard copy yet (I already have too many piles’o’paper around…heh!) but I do save some specific posts in Word documents also saved on an external drive. Have a great weekend!
SMILE PRETTY!

I do use an external back up system, but for photos I also save them at Photobucket and on disk so I know I’ll have them if I need them.

The wood carvings are wonderful. Great photos. Responding to the question. my blog is hosted by godaddy and it backs up on their main server. Big Hugs xo

I also love the wood carvings. And that pond in the first photo- what kind of plant is on top of the water?
November 13, 2011 @ 8:26 am
@Rumpy,
those are water lily and lilypads in the pond.

I back up my blog on an EHD, and also print a book every Christmas. You can “slurp” your
