May was certainly a month full of action for us.  We spent a lot of time outdoors on the weekend at the different parks as R was in town.

Even though it was examinations period for the boys they too had their time off studying.  They enjoyed a fun game of pool when we visited Pasir Ris Park.

It has been awhile since I last took my DSLR out on a photo walk. While out on a couple date with R, I managed to capture this roadside bloom on the way to Resort world, Sentosa for lunch before out appointment at iFly.

May was the month we celebrated Mother’s day and what better way to celebrate it then with a tribute to my 2 mothers and ice-cream cake.

This little girl certainly has loads of energy. She and her brothers wear me out daily with their antics.  Even though it hasn’t been really smooth sailing handling these three active kids I have learned quite a bit since becoming a mom more then 10 years ago.

With the experiences that I have gathered I wrote my Survival tips for a Stay at home mom and  how to remain sane this summer.

As I’m mainly the one behind the camera I seldom get the chance to take photographs together with the kids.  Now with me new dual camera phone I’m able to take more selfies with them and aim to take photos with them more regularly.

I’ve started adjusting tiger girl’s sleeping pattern now that she will be turning four sleep. We are moving her out of our room and into her own. With her new Minnie Mouse nightlight hopefully the transition will be smooth for her and it will be a painless experience for all.

Getting regular exercise with the kids is something that I am trying to do.  This year one of my goals is to bring them to the playground and park more often so that everyone is able to keep fit and healthy.

May really rocked for me as my girlfriends and I attended our favourite group’s concert right here at the Singapore Indoor Stadium. CNBlue really left everyone feeling an all time high with their rendition of their top hits. What would be ultimate would be if we have the chance to watch their concert live in Korea. That would be next on our bucket list.

It has been two months since I started my series on Parenting with Less Stress. This month I gave an update on how Monkey boy has fared using Positive Affirmation. I will be giving an update on Doggie boy too in the coming weeks.

May  was a month of new challenges and the biggest challenge I have had to date was to travel solo with the kids overseas. R couldn’t fly back in time so we decided to fly separately and meet up at our chosen destination to spend our  mid year holidays together.

The kids and I survived the flight and maybe next time we may even fly to further destinations on holiday together.

Weekend Reflections: Goals for June and May Review

new button

The exams for the boys are finally over and it’s the holiday season now. One whole month of vacations for them. It won’t be all play and no study but more play with study for the kids.  They did pretty well in school with above average marks in most subjects however it doesn’t mean I will be cutting them too much slack as I want them to maintain their current standard and improve on their academic achievements even further.

Achievements for May

  1. I managed to take some time out to attend a painting class with the other SMB mummies.
  2. Alexa ranking has remained about the same as it’s hovering around 60,000 mark.
  3. I’ve added three more sponsors for the month of May with products from Nivea, Drypers and 3M.
  4. I’ve planned and scheduled in activities for the kids and family for the whole of June.  There is something to occupy them almost every day for the next month 🙂
  5. I’ve manage to  3 out of 5 on my May Bucket List. I haven’t gotten around to using up the Whip cream  and finishing up the books that I need  to review as the kids were having a cough and I was concentrating more on their studies in May.

Major Fail area

  1. Weight has gone up to 66kg!! I really dread looking at the scales these few days. Eating too many fattening treats have resulted in this and I seriously need to try to restrain myself better.
  2. The year end  2012/2013 photobook has yet to be done and I schedule it to be done before June.
  3. I still have to de-clutter a few parts of the house which I hope to do so by end of June.

Resolutions for 2013

For Myself

  1.  Focus on more healthy eating and exercising. Target weight is getting back to 60kg first.
  2. Reading up and learning more about how to use my DSLR
  3. Test out the recipes in the cook books that I have acquired in 2012.
  4. To brush up on my French and Japanese.

  1. To increase readership even further and break the 15K FB Fan mark.
  2. Get more sponsors and campaigns.
  3. To double blog income.
