Learning to read(Part 2) – the A-Z way

Last week a girlfriend of mine asked me about how materials to teach her 3yr old to read. She was asking about readers and if there were any other cheaper alternatives to it.  It set me about doing some research on online resources .

In this post I would like to touch on the Freebies offered by Reading A-Z.

This is a wonderful site with 30 free  PDF e-books which include readers, books oh phonics, vocabulary and phonics.  There are also worksheets related to some of the books which parents could use as a follow up assessment of your child’s understanding of the story he had just read. It is great for homeschooling and parents who wish to supplement your kids existing reading collection.

For this festive season I will be giving away to two lucky readers a compilation of 26 alphabet books by Reading A-Z .
