Aloha 5QF~ Post Birthday Edition
Tiger girl has been zooming around lately since she started crawling around. She now goes for more fancy rides like this tricycle above when we go out to the park. Her she is trying out a friend’s daugther’s tricycle. Isn’t it cute..it has lovely stickers and it plays music. We have a similar one for her that was passed down from her brothers.
It has been a busy week parenting solo as R is away (again) on business trip. The good thing is that the kids are no longer sick and do not need any medication. Yeah!!

It would be Mookies Weekly Digest. I like the way “Mookies” sounds.
2. Who is your mentor/inspiration?
It would be my friend F as he is a guy would radiates very positive vibes and is one with himself and religion.
3. What is your wake up beverage of choice?
Fresh Milk.
4. Would you wear your mom’s clothes?
Yes. If the clothes suit me and the venue.
5. When you were a kid, did you put posters on your wall? If so, what were they of?
I don’t remember putting posters on the wall. However for my kids they have a big Cars2 poster on their door at the moment.
My questions this week
- How do you approach sensitive topics like sex with your kids?
- At what age did you start educating your child about these topics?
My answer ( I know some readers are interested to know)
I think that now at 1st year elementary is a good time to educate my eldest and give him a “clear” picture about these topics so that in time to come he will be able to make informed decisions and do have enough trust in us to let us know his thoughts/decisions.
I do have some books and at present there are such programs on TV which I may let him tune in and watch alongside us to let him be better informed.

I haven’t had to approach that topic with Princess Nagger…yet – not sure at what age it will be, but I hope I so far have taught her that she can talk to me about anything.

Our kids are 11, 13, 15, and 18. I’ve definitely talked about sex topics with the two older kids but not as much with the two younger ones. I have no qualms about telling it like it is to my teens. I want them to be informed and have self-respect for their bodies and also have the conviction to not give into peer pressure.

My oldest girl is 9 but we haven’t had “the talk” yet. I’m not really sure how I will approach the subject but I am dreading it! 🙂
