Last week the kids were given a treat with a 2D1N Staycation at D’resort.  We decided on a midweek stay as it would be less crowded and the kids could have more time to enjoy the facilities at the resort.

We were given the Beach Cove Duplex room for our stay. Suitable for 4 adults of a family of 2 adults and 2 kids. This  52 SQM  double story room came with a  queen size bed and sofa bed.

It was a toss up to who would be sleeping on the bed or the sofa bed for the night as everyone was aiming for the comfy bed.

The staff at D’resort generously prepared a snack box for the kids and they were digging into it when they spotted it in the room.

The snacks and free wifi didn’t occupy them for long as we soon left for our first activity at Pasir Ris Beach.

Stand Up Paddling was something new that the kids tried out that evening.  It was a really interesting experience for all as it was the first time they were on a surf board and tried paddling.

The weather was perfect.  It wasn’t too hot nor the tide too low to go out paddling.

Before we could hit the waters the instructor started off by showing us how to handle the paddle.  It was important that the kids learn how to place their hands on the paddle and work the board to the direction they needed to go.

Safety first before everything else. The kids were shown how to secure themselves to the board and the procedures that they had to follow getting in and out of the water.

Before long our paddling session was up and it was time for us to return back to the resort to wash up and prepare for the next activity- bowling.

After a quick dinner we headed over the bowling alley for a few rounds of bowling. All the kids can bowl so it was fun taking turns at the lane that was assigned to us.

It was really nice that they could tailor the guard rail guards to come into/out of play based on each player’s specifications. The bowling alleys of today are certainly more sophisticated as compared to the ones of yesteryear. It was nearly midnight when we returned to the room after the game.

On the 2nd day we headed over to Wild Wild Wet for some splashing good time. It was the 2nd time that the kids were at this Water theme park and were extremely delighted to be able to have fun at this place.  The last time we visited the place was more then 2 years ago. Back then Tiger girl was not tall enough to go on most of the rides. This time round she is taller then the 1.00 m mark and could go on some of the family rides together with me and her brothers.  The park wasn’t that crowded as we went on a weekday and we had the chances to go on the different rides many times as there wasn’t much queue.

The kids and I had a fun and entertaining time at D’Resort and before we knew it our staycation had come to an end. Thanks for the invitation D’resort.

Discaimer: We were invited to experience a 2D1N Staycation experience at Downtown East. All opinions are 100% mine.

  1. Just checking all the pictures, I can definitely say that my son will enjoy this place. We haven’t tried paddling activity yet. Sometimes 2D1N staycation is not enough to really enjoy the place but you did a lot of activities.

  2. Looks like such a great staycation experience. My kids would love that water theme park. Paddling is something I’ve never tried before but I’d also love to experience it one day. Looks fun!

  3. The place is indeed a paradise, or at least to this mother. I seldom go outside so opportunities like that staycation is a cherished moment. Love that aside from the comfy room and snacks, there are outdoor activities waiting for the whole family especially for the kids.

  4. Where is this? The place looks so nice and inviting 🙂 I love the facilities and amenities too, especially the outdoor activities 🙂

  5. Love the snack box for kids. When kids have something special in a place, I somehow have high regards on it. If they care for the least, they sure take care of the needs of the adults. =)
