Thinking Anew: Harnessing the Power of Belief
Thinking Anew: Harnessing the Power of Belief by Eugene F. Moynihan, JR and Richard F. Quis is different from any other positive thinking book that I have read.
The authors talk about focusing on your intentions and working on getting to know what you actually want an don’t want.
Once you know what you are looking for you can LET IT HAPPEN by entrusting it in the Higher power (GOD).
It is through failure and setbacks that we eliminate what is suppose to be for us and get to our desired outcome.
” If you can change the way you think, you will be able to attract what you desire.”
This is the mindset that has to be cultivated. Removing negative thoughts and presumptions while focusing on Gratitude is how one can harness the power of Belief.
Many a times we fail as we give ourselves self imposed limitations which results in self fulfilling prophesies. This stifles our development and hampers our ability for positive anticipation which we need.
Moynihan and Quis advocate Written Goal Focus Therapy which involves writing daily about your intentions. The writing exercise would allow one to focus on their creative energy and let their desires start to manifest.
My thoughts
I found this book to be a very refreshing read. It couldn’t come at a better time for me. I’m focusing more on knowing myself better and also develop a closer walk with GOD in the process.
I will be using this book as a catalyst to help me in my growth this 2015.
There are a lot of blank pages in this book where one can pen down their daily thoughts of personal affirmation and work through their feelings while changing their mindset. The book itself is a great starting point for one who is interested in embarking on a spiritual journey of self discovery.
Do pick up a copy of the book if you are interested in harnessing the Power of Belief.

This is the kind of exercise and reading material that I need to continue believing in one’s self and be grateful of the blessings given to each one.

This sounds like a great book! I think sometimes we just need those resets in life, whether it be reading a book or having a good quality conversation with a friend, to truly appreciate the life we have and to get back on track.

I think it is true that we must remove negative thoughts and focus on positive thoughts and on our desires. Our mind is so powerful that whatever we are thinking might really happen.
