Crystals on a Monday
Crystals
During our vacation in December we went to an ex-miner’s house. It was filled with lots of different coloured crystals that he brought back home during his years as a miner.
More raw crystals
The whole patio and garden were filled with his crystals. There were easily a few hundred pieces on his compound.
More rocks
Like these unpolished crystals the 3 kids arrived in this world as unpolished stones. It is up to us as parents to shape and polish them so that they become sparkling crystals which are of value. Through educating them and giving them the correct “polish” they become shinning and a valuable asset for society. With the experience that they gain from childhood and from us parents teaching them ,layers of shine are added onto them making them glow from within.
Like a baker shaping the dough into various different types of bread. We too help shape the lives of our kids.
Whether they turn out to be priceless jewels or semi-precious stones have yet to be seen. Only time will tell how they turn out to be.
Here is the latest song from Jay Chou’s 2013 album

Great analogy. I couldn’t help but look at my 5-year-old as I read it.

Wow – he has some beautiful crystals! And I love how you compared children to unpolished crystals and how we have to polish them so they can be of value – that is such a beautiful way to put it!

Wow… I didn’t expect this post to go into an analogy about our children. I was pleasantly surprised. When I first read it, I thought of my middle son who loves rocks and crystals. He has them from all over. When my parents took a trip to Alaska they picked him up rocks from every state and labeled the bags from where they were collected. He even has a rock from the Arctic Ocean!! Then as I read about how our children are unpolished gems, i thought how wonderful and true! Thanks for a great post!

What a beautiful melody and a marvelous voice. That has to be a love song. I really love it. Thanks for sharing my friend. Those pictures are really neat. I probably would’ve done the same thing if I was a miner. I do it now. If I go to another state I bring back a pretty rock from there and then I write the State on it, and I put it in my rock garden out in front, but crystals wow that really has to be pretty. Thanks for sharing & have a great day! I really look forward to your songs. Thanks.

Great analogy! As I was reading the end I kept hearing, “Like the sands through the hourglass of time, these are the days of our lives” 😉

Sometimes we really need to undergo several steps of polishing so we became a great crystals. There are trials and surviving such is a great success.

Both my kids went through a real stage of collecting crystals. Last time I looked they both still had them in their treasure boxes

That is an amazing collection! My kids love rocks, geodes, and crystals. They collect them on trips to the mountains.

Reminds me of the few times we went diamon hunting at a local quary. People have found all sorts of gems and stones but i only ever found crystals and geodes but I still thought it was awesome!

Wow. That is a lot of crystals!
I agree, we are here to polish our little ones and give them the best tools for their adult living.
Very nice selection!
Aloha 🙂

My grandfather and his friends would have loved this place, but only if they were able to buy. He was friends with a lot of rock hounds. Grandpa had a huge saw to cut large pieces. He made all sorts of things out of pretty rocks.
