Frendship Friday , P52{Favourites} and other Memes

Today is Friday and the last day of term for the kids. Tomorrow marks the first day of their month long mid year vacations and they are thrilled. I won’t be cutting back on the academic side of their learning but adding more outdoor activities for them.  I have scheduled play dates, outings to the park and we will be taking them on a trip overseas. Life is really fun being a kid.

Here are a few of my favourite shots taken this week.

Doggie boy and Tiger Girl

Doggie boy and Tiger girl lying on the Persian Rug watching television in the hall.  They love the smooth texture of the rug which R brought back from his India trip. I could imagine them lying on the carpet as it flies off like the one in Aladdin and the 40 Thieves. Chicken Wrap

The chicken wrap which I made for lunch for Monkey boy. I had a craving for wraps as we have been eating too much rice and noodles lately.

The kids eating

This week the theme at Friendship Friday by Create with Joy is on Advice

Question Of The Week
What’s the best (or worst) advice you’ve ever been given?

The best advice I have been given is to be myself and listen to my inner self before making any decisions
What’s one piece of advice would you like to share with others?
Be true to yourself. It’s not worth giving in to others and suffering as a result of it.
Who can you always count on to give you sound advice?
GOD

Making Father’s Day Extra Special with Treat

Father's Day CardPhotocredit: Treat.com

I remember growing up as a kid my dad was constantly away as he travelled overseas very often for business.  However, when he was in town he would  make the effort to send  and fetch me from school.  I looked out for his car after school and we would normally go out for lunch to a nearby coffee shop or restaurant. I I enjoyed eating out and spending time with him chatting about my day in school. It was fun having the time to bond with him over a meal.

My dad  was very generous with my sister and me and love to buy us little presents from his overseas trips.Even now when he goes off to the Philippines he would bring back present for the kids and me. He has evolved from a doting dad to a doting grandfather.

June  being a month for celebrating Fathers. What better way to show my appreciation for Dad then  with a  personalized Father’s Day Card by Treat.  I could include gift cards from retailers such as  Amazon, iTunes, Target so that my dad could purchase a small gift which he fancies.

Treat cards can be scheduled up to a year in advance for delivery. I would never miss sending cards on any important dates as I could set up reminders for  Birthdays and other  important events in my calendar.

You can get your first Treat card free by using the code  FREETREAT at checkout.

If you are keen to know more about Treat you can follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest or on Google +
