My Littlest Student- Tiger Girl
My little girl really enjoys having a pencil or pen in her hand. Every time she sees her brothers doing their homework she too will pick up a pencil/pen and startย doodling or drawing circles on paper. I specially set up a table for her and cover it with large sheets of construction paper for her to draw on as I don’t want her to draw/doodle on her brother’s books. She is now able to hold the pencil correctly in both right and left hand although she seems to be aย more dominant left hander.ย I think I’ll start teaching her how to draw lines and get her some tracing books to try out soon as she seems ready for them.

Oh mine too…and as much as I enjoy drawing pictures with them the previous apartment has all the wall written…after we moved until now I have not let them playing with the crayon/pencil anymore until I get those magic pen that only works on specific paper ๐

Wow, she’s a fast learner! To be able to hold a pencil/pen the right way at her age is quite a great feat!

Cute! I wonder if she would like a dry erase marker and board also? When I taught Kindergarten those were always a bit hit ๐

I did think about getting the kids a dry erase marker and board but with the two older boys around it can be quite dangerous as its not really that sturdy. Another thing is that it occupies a lot of space and we’re not big on space staying in an apartment.

She’s SO cute! It’s fun when little ones want to do what they see their older siblings do. Looks like she loves drawing ๐ Nurture that!

What a cutie! We currently have stacks of paper for my girls to color on. I need to organize it better, because we do have loose flyaway pages everywhere. *sigh* ๐

Isn’t the cutest thing watching your kids do the simplest thing– she is adorable! You can have her practice writing in colored sand with a straw– that’s how i practice with my youngest girl.

That’s great! I bet she will learn faster than you expected:)
Visiting for WW! Hope you can stop by:)

She is adorable! I had a thought while I was reading this post. She might enjoy one of those LeapFrog Scribble pads. They aren’t expensive but they are super helpful in teaching them to draw lines, shapes, letters, etc… My 3yr old got one for Christmas and I was watching her in awe the other day as she played with it. She’s writing her letters out and she’s not even had any exposure to preschool yet. All from the Scribble pad. She loves it. Your daughter might get a lot of enjoyment out of one of those too.
Blessings,

@Rosann,
thanks for the idea.. I think I try to see if there are any similar Apps on the Ipad as we recently got one for the family.
