Writer’s Workshop- No Coffee For Me

Coffee, Tea or Me?
Coffee and me do not mix. Here are 10 reasons why I don’t drink coffee.
- It smells funny.
- Coffee tastes yucky to me . I don’t like the strong bitter taste and even ice milk coffee can give me a headache.
- I know that coffee can be addictive and I rather be addicted to drinking milk than coffee.
- It’s too cumbersome to make a pot of coffee. I’ll settle for a glass of water instead.
- I prefer drinking tea. Green Tea, Chrysanthemum , Earl Grey and Chamomile.
- I rather enjoy drinking milk. My favourite is strawberry milk although I do drink chocolate and white milk.
- Smoothies and milkshakes tastes so much better and there are so many flavours to them.
- Between a root beer float and a cup of ice coffee I rather take the float as there is vanilla ice-cream in it.
- Coffee is simply not appealing to me and I’ll rather skip it for a drink which sounds more interesting.
- I feel that coffee is more a man’s drink than for ladies so I’ll stick with tea.
What’s your take on drinking coffee?

Love your points and all very true. I do drink coffee and lots of it at the moment (quite sleep deprived with my baby!), but I have had periods in my life where I’ve had no caffeine and felt infinitely better for drinking green tea, smoothies and the like.
Just visiting from Mama Kat’s Writer’s Workshop.

@Sarah,
Talk about sleep deprivation. I don’t think I’ll be able to get over that for a long time to come. My little girl (who is 2mths now) still wakes up every 2-3hrs at night for night feeds. I guess I will have to wait till she is 3 or 4 years old before I’m able to get a proper night’s sleep.

I wrote on coffee too and am torn between the two – drinking it or not. However I am an AVID tea, smoothie and milkshake drinker so we share that! Hope you’ll stop by my blog – http://ivy-morrison.blogspot.com

You make some great points.I still like my coffee but I am also a tea fan, and root beer floats are one of my other favorites. I think I just like good non alcoholic drinks.

I am so with you on the coffee thing. My in-laws drink coffee and it makes me want to gag when I smell it. Yuck! I think people force themselves into liking it. That’s just my opinion.

I go back and forth on my preference. Sometimes nothing sounds better than a big mug of perfectly brewed espresso but then sometimes all I really want is a fruity frozen smoothie!
xx
