DIY Photo Editing for Kids
Point and shoot photography is not that difficult for a 4yr old.
Here you can see a close up shot Ryan took of himself with the camera.
You just need a steady hand and the camera on auto focus to capture the expression of the moment.
Here are some simple photo editing software whereby your kids and you can have a go at editing and altering your digital shots to make it more interesting.
- Picasa 3
This is a free software from Google.
Upon installation it automatically organizes the photographs stored in your hard disk by dates.
By following the steps you can make simple collages which you can upload to your blog or showcase in your Picasa online album.
- Smilebox
It is another online digital scrapbook site. You can add your photos, music and video to their pre-designed templates to create slideshows, e-cards, scrapbooks, photo albums and postcards.
When they grow more apt with digital photo editing you can introduce your older child to programs such as GIMP or Photoshop to do their editing with.
Do you have any other photo editing software/programs which you can recommend?

I like PhotoPeach. It really adds value by letting you make a little digital story – fun for kids and a great lasting memory.
