Graphic organisers are commonly use to enhance a child’s thought process. I frequently use them for various purposes in Teaching English to my students.
These sites have quite a variety of printable graphic organisers
For this post I have chosen the picture of the beach as the topic that I will be focusing on.

By listing out what Ryan had said in a graphic organiser he is shown how he can organise and develop his thoughts and put them into linking sentences. From the sentences that I elicited from him I made him elaborate and give more details about the activities that he had carried out.

In the next and final part( Part 5) I will be focusing on how to teach Ryan how to use past tense for writing instead of present tense.

same comment as my previous post, and if your kid is up to it, go ahead and teach, never underestimate a child’s ability and a child is never to young to learn but if he can’t, don’t stress him out, ok?

@Angeline,
No stressing him out. I go at his pace. Only intend to do such activities once a month or once in two months to prevent him from being bored of it.
