Teaching Toddlers to Write- (Part 4) Using Graphic Organisers

Graphic organisers are commonly use to enhance a child’s thought process. I frequently use them for various purposes  in  Teaching English to my students.

These sites have quite a variety of printable graphic organisers

For this post I have chosen the picture of the beach as the topic that I will be focusing on.

By listing out what Ryan had said in a graphic organiser he is shown how he can organise and develop  his thoughts and put them into linking sentences. From the sentences that I elicited from him I made him elaborate and give more details about the activities that he had carried out.

In the next and final part( Part 5) I will be focusing on how to teach Ryan how to use past tense for writing instead of present tense.
