The Ice Cream and Mr Donut Head

Doggie boy and his ice-creamLast weekend the boys went for an Art & craft session at the Singapore Science Centre. Doggie boy made an ice-cream stick as he loves ice-cream. His favourite flavour is strawberry. In fact he likes all things strawberry and pink to eat.

Monkey boy on the other hand made a Mr Donut Head. He dressed it up with sequins and attached moveable legs to it.

Donuts are one of his favourite snack. He loves rainbow sprinkled and chocolate donuts. However I seldom buy them for him as it is deep fried and too sweet to be taken on a regular basis.

Both the boys took pictures in the small theatre and tried out their puppets there. They gave a short introduction to their crafts and did a small “show” for the camera before deciding to call it a day and wrap up their activity session that day.

Have your kids done any crafts lately?

Mesemerizing Jellyfish

A few weeks ago when we visited the Underwater World SingaporeĀ  the kids were really fascinated by the jellyfishes which they saw at one of the exhibits. The jellyfish swimming in the tank really looked like bubbles ballooning and ebbing as they moved about. They looked like inverted mushrooms when they moved around randomly in the tank.

Translucent jellyfishes of different shapes swimming in the tank. They looked so delicate moving through the water.

They look so harmless but theseĀ  carnivorous creatures can really leave a nasty sting if we come across them in the sea.

Have you seen jellyfishes before?
