The Historical Town of Guanajunto
A few weeks back the kids and I went for the Piece of Peace World Heritage Exhibit over at Fort Canning Arts Centre. It was the first time that the kids and I attended a Lego Exhibition. The kids have been exposed to Lego since young.
They love creating their own models and playing with them. Sometimes they create their own mini cities with the lego sets that we have at home.
The windmill of Holland
On the 2nd level of the exhibition we were given a visual treat of the various world heritage exhibits. Looking at the lego windmill reminded me of the actual windmills that I saw in Holland during my European trip in my teenage years.
The Red Square in Moscow
This famous cathedral in Kremlin is a place which I have yet to visit. It is certainly a really marvelous work of art dating back to the 14 century.
The statue of Liberty
USA is another place which is on my place to visit in the future. It would be certainly great to see this monument close up if the opportunity arises. This scale size model is also one that is towering above the rest of the exhibits in the room.
The Giant Pandas
This must have been one of the cutest exhibit on display. The playful nature of the giant pandas from the Sichuan GiantPanda Sanctuaries were clearly depicted in the exhibit. It’s really ingenious how the Lego masters design, calculate and build such exhibits from scratch.

On the lower level of the exhibition were the entries to the Lego competition that was recently conducted. Entries for the adult and kids category were on display in standing cabinets.

While I was looking at the exhibits by the contest finalists Tiger girl was busy posing for photos at the kids play area. There was a ramp to race your lego cars and few lego play areas for kids of different ages.

Tiger girl has a few sets from the Friends’ series and couldn’t wait to take a picture with her favourite characters. She would bring Mia and Emma around their supermarket and ice-cream parlor when she plays with them at home.
The Lego Movie screening in the park
It was the first time for us to watch a movie at Fort Canning Park and we were ill prepared for it. The kids and I ended up seating at the steps as we didn’t bring picnic mats to sit on the grass like some of the other visitors did. It would be nice if mats and refreshments were provided during the movie screening though as we left halfway when seating on the steps got a bit too uncomfortable but not before Tiger girl got her memorabilia- Ninjago Face Mask.

The Piece of Peace Would Heritage Unesco world Heritage Art Exhibition is on display at the Fort Canning Art Center till the 3rd of September.
The exhibition is opened from 10am – 9pm on Weekdays and 10am- 12am on Weekends. Tickets can be purchased at the door . For more information do visit their Facebook Page .
