Weekend Reflections- Changing of Status

WeekendReflections

my 3 kids

Tomorrow I will be be officially promoted from a mum to two boys to a mum of 3 kids ( two boys and a girl). we can finally put a picture to our newest addition to our family.

After tomorrow we will be following a new daily schedule and life will be more  busy and colourful juggling 3 kids and the family chores.   This time around I started preparing for the arrival earlier in advance due to my busy work schedule this year.

At this present moment I’m really looking forward to delivering the baby as it is really getting super uncomfortable lugging all this extra weight around. Baby R3 already weighs in at 3.1kg during the last check up on Thursday. I estimate that she may weigh around 3.5kg to 3.7kg as her brothers were about this weight when they were born.

We have ordered in the siblings presents which will be delivered next week. This time around we are getting new bunk beds for the boys as they have outgrown their present beds. I’m sure they will be thrilled with the new super single beds as it gives them more space to move around when they sleep.

What are you doing this weekend?

Writer’s Workshop- My Dream Home

Mama's Losin' It

Prompt #4

Describe your dream home…house, location, and grounds.

When I was younger I always dream about having my own house with a swimming pool in the backyard. While studying in Australia I had the chance to stay in a home stay which had a pool similar to the one shown below.

It is nice to have a dip in the morning during the weekends and chill out at the patio having breakfast.  However as I grew older my concept of a dream home changed to one which is more practical.

Having experience living in a landed property the cost of maintenance  and property tax is a sure deterrent. Coupled with the problem of having insects and other pest  makes it less then ideal for me now.  I also do not wish to spend so much money on a house and would rather save up for the kids education.

My dream house now need not be one which is on landed property but one which is high-rise. I wouldn’t mind a penthouse with it’s own lap pool but even it is not possible to have one living in a condominium which does have a swimming pool and spa facilities will suffice.

The home should be located near the boys schools and be accessible to both public and private transport. There should also be shops and other important amenities nearby to reduce the time commuting.

There should be enough space for the kids to have their own private spaces ( their own rooms), a study room and a large kitchen which has a long counter to display all the various kitchen appliances which I need to use.  It has always been my dream to have a well stocked up pantry and a well equipped kitchen where I can whip up delicious meals for the family regularly.

I guess it will take quite a while before this dream could become a reality.

What would your dream house look like?
