The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Juice Fasting by Steven Prussack and Bo Rinaldi is a really hand book about Juicing.

I have always looked for information on how to lose weight  and be healthy without relying on dieting pills or going on extreme diets.

In this book the author introduces the concept on going on a juice fast as part of a long-term weigh management system. It also helps to rejuvenate your body and purge all the toxins which may have built up within you throughout the years.

The idea of introducing different type of healthy juices to my daily intake was really intriguing.  There are many different recipes inside which really sounds yummy

For example

– Berry Smoothie

– Apple Pear Lemon Juice

– Pineapple Grapefruit juice

There certainly a juice for you and the benefits of making and drinking the different juices are clearly stated in the book.

My thoughts.

It was certainly fun trying out some of the recipes listed in the book. However I was not able try out some of the juices listed as it can be quite hard and very expensive to purchase some of the items here in Singapore. Certain items were not sold in our local supermarkets so I had to give a miss trying to make them.

Creative You: Using Your Personality Type to Thrive by David B Goldstein & Otto Kroeger talks about identifying your personality.  The book is divided in 3 different sections.

The first section gives one a clear idea what is creativity and helps you identify  your personal creative preferences. One also gets to learn about his/her full profile of individual preferences and temperaments.

The second sections lists down  the 16 personality types where one gets to learn their strengths and weaknesses. Blind spots are listed out and tips are given on how to boost creativity.

In the third section  the authors show how you can use your creativity to thrive and for maximum effect.

First of all you will need to analyze and figure out what your personality type is before locating the correct section to read through.

My thoughts

It was interested to read and look at the personality types of my boys in relation to me and how I could help to develop their creativity.

Based on the descriptions here are the classifications which I derived.

Myself- ISTJ

Monkey Boy- ENFJ

Doggie Boy- INFP

Having both introvert and extrovert kid makes it difficult to create a home environment that is conclusive for both boys to develop their creative sides. However the explanations and tips given within the book do help me understand them better and give me an idea on how to guide each one of them.
